We have EID tagged all our Boreray lambs (16-33 days old) this morning with the Roxan TagFaster tags - we have changed taggers this year, and despite the new taggers being rather large and cumbersome for our small hands, we found the tags much easier to put in. These are the best taggers we have used in 33 years!

 

We always put our permanent tags in the bottom of the ear, as near to the head as possible.

 

We put the little grey tags (changed to QuickTag Easy Tags this year) in at birth as they have such small ears, which have numbers on both sides. We cut them right back to the number, so they are as small as possible for their little ears and less likely to pull out. We haven't lost any this year, which we have done in subsequent years - using the Plastags.

 

We have found the job this year, much easier than in previous years - the TagFaster taggers were well worth the extra money!
