"The tag will have more flexibility when in the cows ear"

Tyddyn Felin is a family run farm now in its third generation, no longer keeping sheep they are now concentrating on beef cattle.  Here there is a healthy herd of seventy cows which are a mix breed of Limousine, British Blue and Hereford x Friesians.  These cows are good milky mothers and suit the market requirements.

Dafydd had adopted a Spring Calving system which allows him to carry out his contracting work outside the farm and enables him to make the most of warmer days, where the pasture is at its best.  Dafydd aims to sell half the calves as stores between 12-18months in the following spring and summer season allowing him to buy some extra heifers in as needed.

“After visiting the trade stand at the Welsh Winter Fair where I first saw the samples of the NewFlex cattle tags, I was impressed with the rounded edges and the rubbery nature of the tag."

"I feel that the tag will have more flexibility when in the cow’s ear plus the way the tags are packaged, being joined together up until the tag is used makes it convenient."

"The ‘pin’ on the plier is sturdy and strong, which gives me confidence the tag will be placed properly”
